Rear storage rack

I just bought a Cherokee Artic Wolf 305 with a rear storage rack with the spare tire mounted to it...is it ok to drive down the road with the rack lowered? Sales man said yes, mechanic that did my walk around said no ????

Up or down, it doesn't matter. You DO need to watch how far your rear end swings around when turning a corner. Make sure you don't hit the car next to you at a stoplight.

I'd take it off. While it would be OK to leave it on, I'd worry it would bottom out. We have the 315 and I am sure I'd drag or be within aninch of the ground!
