I currently tow with an Anderson Ultimate and am quite happy with it but I always look for ways to simplify life. I have started looking at the Reese Goose Box as an upgrade to my standard LCI pin box. Do they offer any additional clearance when towing with a short bed truck?

I am following this. I have a 2021 Phoenix 367BH, tow vehicle is 2018 Ram 2500 Cummins. Fifth wheel sits nose high but I think the last time I measured I had 6 inches between trailer and truck bed. I think the only thing I would benefit by using a Goosebox is gaining bed space, not much help to lower the front of fifth wheel?

How short are you talking about? 6.5ft or smaller? If smaller then 6.5ft goosebox is not for you! I have a goosebox on a 2018 Phoenix 336RL on a 2019 RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi w/ 6.5ft box and it pulls fine with plenty of clearance. There is a little adjustment available if needed with the goosebox.
