Replacing the 7pin trailer wire

While towing my Puma 31bhss this weekend I noticed I didn't have any lights on the trailer. Once I got to a safe place to pull over I found the electric wire had come disconnected and dragged for a while. There are now spots where bare wire is exposed. My question is, where can I get a wiring diagram inside the junction box to make sure I connect the replacement properly?

Here's the diagram of the plug on the trailer and truck end. If you're replacing the entire pigtail from the junction box to the plug end, note the color of the wire at each particular terminal in the plug. Manufacturers don't always use the same color wires like one would hope.

The pin locations are accurate but wire colors on the trailer side may not be. For example my reverse lights wire on my FR trailer pigtail is yellow.

On my first backing of a 5th wheel TT i heard a lot of crunching and snapping... DW thought it was teh truck - I thought it was the trailer axles.
She was right.
Somehow I severed the connection between the pin and the bumper and fried a 32 dollar breaker in the truck shorting the wiring out.

Not only did I cut the line in 2 pieces but I ripped the wiring out of the junction box at the trailer end.

I was kind of shocked that none of the stores locally sell 7 pin wiring and had to go to parts for trucks...

I wired the connections in 2 pieces with a round 7 pin Reese connector at the trailer end and 4 feet of new wiring.
(type that normally fits into the bumper of the truck.)

I then used marine grade Marr connectors in the junction box.

Then I took the 7 pin that fits on the bumper and left it alone at that end

On the cut end I put a female junction made by Reese (in the middle of the second piece) so the trailer male end connects the 2 pieces.

Worked out great because I also purchased a second Female 7 way to 4 way flat connector for tying into the trailer battery and run my park/tail lights when we are at the park on shore power.

Tractor Supply had plugs, pigtail and everything else:

Correct code is:
Black Batt. Pos+
White Batt, Neg -
Blue Elect, Brakes
Green Trailer Running Lights
Brown Right turn/stop
Red Left turn/ stop
Yellow Back up (center)
This is the correct code for all Commercial 7 wire connections, colors are stamped on the plug at the brass connectors inside the plug assy.

When I changed out my camper cord to the truck, I just opened everything up so I could see all the wires and then put one wire at a time thru the hole and disconnected one color at a time and hooked each color one at a time until done, then taped with electrical tape. So much fun I have to do it again since I cut it again through stupidity again.

Mine fell out of the receptacle on I-65 going to Goshen rally, draged it all the way to Goshen when somebody told me. They put a new one on for me . I tied it up now. use the small bunge cord it to the receptacle now. Can't trust them.

Yes, I installed one on my 3500 GMC. Very easy install, plug and play to your current wiring harness on your truck assuming you have the tow package with the 5th wheel wiring harness. As far as the install on the trailer you'll have to remove the current wire harness install the new one, again easy install. The magnate in the connector is very powerful making a positive and secure connection. As a side note, because of the smooth contacts and strong connection the brake and running lights seem to be brighter. VERY STRONG MAGNET plus a twist lock on the connectors.

We had ours get caught under the hitch ball,,, while parking on out property in the forest,,, miles from town,,, burned all the wires,,, I sat for an hour or so and spliced them all back together,,, as a temporary fix... I also found a fuse had gotten fried on the truck,,, went to town the next day and replaced the fuse,,, never did replace the wire !!!
