Rockwood 2613BS

My wife and I are retiring in the next few months. We’ve been planning and shopping for a new RV for the last few years anticipating this day. We came to the decision of a Rockwood 2613BS, which we will be ordering shortly. We own a 2014 Ford F-150 STX king cab with 5 liter motor. The truck is flawless with only 86,000 miles. I am the original owner of the truck. I’m just looking to see if the truck/trailer combo is a good one. On paper it seems to be a good match but would like some practical tips from anyone who has experience with this or similar combination.

Posting up the specs..

I think you need to be looking at an f250 or even a f350. You could be pushing almost 9k there. Click image for larger version

As an owner of a 2014 3.5 Ecoboost F150 SCREW with the Max Tow package, I wouldn't tow it with my truck.
1. Using 12% of GVWR comes up with a ballpark loaoaded tongue weight of 1100lbs. Unless you have the Max Tow package, this may exceed your hitch receiver's max capacity.
2. Adding batteries, propane, factory options, dealer add-ons, water and trailer cargo, it could weigh around 8000lbs.

What is the payload capacity from the driver's door yellow Tires and Loading sticker? It'll say "Occupants and cargo should not exceed xxxxlbs".

Similar to my camper. My F150 with a few towing mods done to it tows it very well but I have the towbeast 3.5 Ecoboost. The 5.0 is just not a good towing engine for an 8000 pound sail. Haters gonna hate.
