Saw this just off the highway at a motel

I caught this towing setup out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was a joke and I had to look to be sure. This is the stuff that nightmares are made of...

I bet they only attached it to the van to secure it while it was parked.

Didn't see a lock. Probably not going to work.

Probably bought it at an auction and didn't want to drive back.

A trailer like that has air brakes, air is required to release the brakes and to apply the brakes. Without air, that trailer is going no where. I do not see a air hose coming from the van, so my guess is the trailer is not being towed by the van.

Where are the weight police? Bet the trailer is the heavier of the two!

With the trailer under the light fixture, wondering if there is a light repair involved. Lights are a ways up there. Looks like an extension ladder on board there.

No way that van is moving thta trailer unless the brakes have been disabled on the trailer
Air brakes lock up when they have no air pressure to them
And even if the van moves that the dot will be on them like a fly o well you know

Trailer has air brakes but they can be backed off quite easily. Another case of "Supid is as Stupid does"

To me it looks like the van had to pull it in. Look at the first picture, unless it's an optical illusion the way the van is parked up to the curb, how else did it get in front of the trailer?

The shade is not it. In order to get the third photo, I pulled alongside of the the van and had to back out to leave. there is no left turn to take from where the van is. It was pulled in.

Pretty crazy. The thing that makes it look authentic, is the pintel hook setup which would be highly unusual on a van like that.
Maybe they backed the brake chambers off manually......even scarier.
