Seeking a vehicle that can be flat towed

I have a 2018 Sunseeker MBS 2400r. I'm looking at vehicle that I can tow behind it that are less than 3,000 lbs. Does anyone out there have a Class C MBS that are towing a vehicle? If so, what vehicle are you towing?

We don’t have a motor home but this is a good reference for flat towable

The link below takes you to TOAD guides dating back to 1990. it should help you narrow down your search a little bit!

Thank you for your response. I have the guide. I was just seeking information from others who may be towing a vehicle behind their Class C MBS to see what the pros and cons might be.

Be sure you don't just look at what can be flat-towed, but also the procedure. Some are a real PITA, with complex steps and/or having to run the engine at regular intervals.
I chose our Cobalt because it is so toad-friendly. I installed a switch that disengages one fuse. Now when I'm ready to go, I have these 4 steps:
1. Parking brake off
2. Transmission in neutral
3. Key to on (just before start)
4. Flip the fuse switch
That turns off electronics and frees the steering wheel to turn. all set!

My Toad is a 1983 Suzuki Jimny, a four-wheel drive off-road mini SUV. It has a curb Weight of ‎1000 kg OR 2205 lbs. It has a dual-range transmission and is a true 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Flat towing is no problem. Just put it in neutral and go.

Parts for a 1983 Jimny is no problem. The Jimny is still being manufactured and is one of the favorites among the off-road enthusiasts. Most parts are available through local auto parts stores and everything else is available on-line.

I tow a 2016 Ford Fiesta behind our 2013 Solera. The Fiesta weighs about 2600 pounds. Easy hook up using a Blue Ox tow bar. The Fiesta can be towed indefinitely without having to start the engine after a certain number of miles. The only step I did not like was the last step requiring the negative battery cable to be disconnected. I installed a battery disconnect switch on the negative terminal of the battery which made it much easier. I simply unscrew the green knob in the picture. I install a nylon washer (comes with the switch) under the knob to and put it back on. We have an SMI supplemental braking system which is enabled simply by flipping a switch. No box to connect to the brake pedal. The SMI system has a solenoid installed on the brake lever above the pedal. .

We have Sunseeker MBS 2401W. We tow a manual Honda Fit 4 down. We had a Blue ox tow pale installed and use the ready brute elite tow bar. It has an integrated braking system. We had a bypass switch put on to disconnect fuses and a light kit installed. Great car easy to set up and use and you won't know it's there.

We have a 2015 Forester MBS 2401W. We pull a '98 Suzuki Sidekick at 3,200 lbs. My MBS is rated to pull 4,200 lbs, I assume yours is too.

The Sidekick is an awesome 4 x 4, but as someone else mentioned, there is a procedure for flat towing different cars. Per the owners manual, I tow it with the automatic transmission in park (!!!). But the 4 wheel drive transfer case is in neutral. Then, every 200 miles you need to start it, put the tranny in drive and run it for one minute to circulate the fluids. The transfer case is still in neutral so the car does not move. We usually stop at 200 miles for fuel for convenience.

I have a RVI Brake that sits on the drivers floor board. It's pneumatic so it reacts MUCH quicker than an electric system in a panic stop. It also reacts proportionally to a decrease in speed. In other words, the harder you push on the MBS brakes, the harder it pushes on your toad brakes.

It's portable, so it must be placed, then removed each time you tow, then unhook and drive. It only takes a minute but I really wish I had let the shop install a different brand which bolts under the seat as they suggested. Then I wouldn't have to move it back and forth, store it in the MH, etc.

2014 Honda CRV. Curb weight about 3300 to 3600 lbs. A little over your weight but nice size car for runabout Very popular for flat tow.

Does not require separate brake system in most jurisdictions but I would highly recommend having a braking system.

I have a 2017, 30 ft, Sunseeker. I flat tow a 2013 Honda CRV. Easy hook up. You will have a choice, the arms of the tow bar stays on the rig after unhooking or on the front of the car. I have it on the rig with a lock. It folds up with a cover. I can't see a reason to have it stay on the car. Tows easy and leave the tow/ haul on all the time when towing, if you have it. Remember, never try to back up with it hooked up. Plan your turns well or unhook and correct the it.

We just set up a 2012 Honda CRV as our TOAD behind our Forester 2801 GTS. It has a towing max weight of 5000 pounds and the Honda (unloaded) would be about 3500 pounds. And the CRV is very simple to prepare for the road coupled with the BlueOx tow system.

We tow a Kia Soul manual trans. It's a great car and don't even notice it behind our MBS.
