Should I switch to an air ride kingpin?

I am awaiting delivery of my new XLR toy hauler...(395 amp) and would like to know your opinion of switching the kingpin out to a trail air kingpin. I am not worried so much about ride quality as much as I am of protecting my investment. Want to make sure I have this rig set up right the first time to help prevent cracks and such in the frame.

2011 dodge ram 3500 SRW 4x4. With firestone air bags. Will the kingpin be overkill/or is it something to help protect my investment??? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

It is unfortunate that the frames are so poorly made that we always have to worry about them failing. If I was hauling a heavier fifth, I probably would use the air-ride. There is the benefit of a smoother ride, plus the lessening of stress on the camper frame. So, multiple benefits make the purchase decision a lot easier.

It would be something to consider.

If you can afford it, it sure wouldn't hurt anything. The smoother ride would be a bennie as well. My airbags help, but some kind of kingpin mod sure would complete the package.
