I cut too short turning into a parking lot and what started out to be a grass patch at the street ended up being a curb in the parking lot. I slowly pulled forward as the front of the two tires (on the driver side) came off the side of the curb. When the back tire came off it was extremely compressed for a second.
Sixty miles later, when I parked in the campground, I noticed a tear in the sidewall of that squished tire (see picture below).
It looks pretty superficial, but I'll probably replace it out of an abundance of caution. What do others think?
Secondly, other than getting experienced enough not to cut corners, what should I have done when I saw that I was going to come off the side of that curb? Backed up and started over perhaps (when practical)?
