Six door Truck?

I saw this today and was surprised. I have never heard off a 6 door truck. Click image for larger version

I wonder if the frame is compromised by stretching it out?

Honestly, I've considered it. We often travel with my in-laws and it gets cozy with 6 of us in the pickup.

I liked the ones built on Peterbilt (sp?) trucks better than pickups, though.

If I were to run a 5er I definitely would get a converted tractor. The car option between the cab and 5er is perfect. That would be a great way to travel.

I've seen them here in NC, used by contracting companies like roofers and such.

I have seen one in Maryland that has a great paint job on it honoring the Veterans and such. Its awesome. But as epndydad mentioned, I believe this was built on a commercial truck frame. Basically taking a dump truck, removing the "dump" bed, stretching the truck cab backwards, and then putting a regular super duty dually bed on the frame. Its cool and unique, my only issue is it probably costs about double what you would pay for a super duty on a new lot.

Depends how it was built. Factory numbers are meaningless after a mod like that.

I talked to the owner but he was not big in info. About all I got was the cargo capacity was better than a standard 3/4 Ton Ram and it was built in California. I had lots of questions but he wasn't very friendly.
