So I did a thing...
I said goodbye to a friend today, but made a new one!
Goodbye - 2015 Sierra 6.2l with max tow...
Hello! - 2018 F250 XLT 6.2l with 5th wheel prep package, 4.30's, plow/camper package, high mount camera and several other toys.
Sad to see the GMC go but wow...just wow what a difference and I haven't even towed yet. Thanks to this forum I was able to make a very educated decision. So educated that apparently here in WNY I have the only F250 with the 5th wheel package and the 4.30's in a 2000 mile radius. They had to search high and low to find it. Thanks everyone!

Congratulations on the new truck! I have had mine for just about a year and the stability of an HD truck (vs my previous 1/2 ton) still blows me away. You will love the towing experience.

Wow 4:30s. My 70 gmc k2500 has 4:10s and that thing is a stump puller. How many gears dose your transmission have? I know Ford and GM did a 9 speed auto tranny together. Wonder is they are stought enough to be in bigger trucks?

It's the G type 6 speed auto. She runs slightly higher RPM's at highway speed but I bought this configuration to tow. Heard with the 4.30's it down shifts less on pulls...time will tell.
First 300 mile trip is a week from this comping Monday.

I used West Herr Ford in Rochester. They found the truck in West Virginia.

You'll love that 440 HP under the hood. We pull a 16,000 fifth wheel with ours (F350 DRW) and it pulls like a champ anywhere and everywhere we've taken it.

I wish I had the 440HP of the 6.7 but I have the 385HP of the 6.2. Still very happy and thank you!

Got one equipped like this in April. Went with the 6.2 after much debate with myself and research about diesel vs gas. Have not regretted it. It is a towing beast. Happy Camping

Thanks everyone. Have about 650 miles on it, only about 150 are mine. Averaging about 14mpg right now. I am fine with that, I bought it to tow not as a mpg truck. Wondering if I will see slightly better with a few more thousand miles on it.
