Survey Results (Locking 5th Wheel)

Earlier I asked the question if you used a padlock to lock your fifth wheel hitch when towing. I promised to compute the results and here they are. There were 56 responses with 4 not really giving an answer either way (a couple were pretty funny), so there were a total of 52 answers. The results are:

Use a padlock - 29 or 56%
Use a pin or clevis - 12 or 23%
Do not lock - 11 or 21%

Most that do not lock have a hitch that won't unlock as long as there is weight on it although a couple with those type hitches locked anyway.

I also found out that a survey like this can be done automatically through the website, but I didn't know that until it was too late.

Thanks for all the responses. I believe the results show that we are a safe bunch.

Fyi we have the abilities to do actual polls with multiple choice answers of up to ten poll questions.
