I saw that on a few posts. Certainly might last longer and if they can be “adjusted” for height, even better.

Before I actually ordered mine, I called Timbren and got the vertical dimension of an installed unit.

Went out and measured the relevant dimension on my truck. Found their product would install with the recommended vertical clearance -- the gap between the bottom of their product and the bottom plate it engages on compression.

That pretty much sealed the purchase decision for me, and the installation produced the exact clearance predicted.

FWIW...

After looking over these different products my current leaning is to go with the Sumosprings Solo Black. They seem to be a simple install similar to the Timbren and to offer a more advanced material technology.

The ones I am looking at suggest a 1,500 lb assist at 50% compression. They do not touch when driving unloaded so normal handling should not be any different than before installation.

I think that is a good choice for a 3/4 ton.

I put timbrens on my truck and the difference towing is very noticeable. Very happy with the timbren addition.

2015 Chevy 2500 HD installed Timbrens about 3 years ago. Unloaded no change to ride. Loaded they keep my truck level and help smooth out the ride. I had air bags on another truck and just didn't want to mess with them again. I've been happy with the Timbrens so far and as I recall they were really easy to install.

I installed these on my 2015 3/4 ton Chevy. It sure helped also to improve side to side sway as now you are now resting on the axle when loaded plus I used the 4 point equal-lizer hitch. Later RJD
