Tire Opinion

My TV is a 2017 ram 1500 4x4 stock height. The tires that came on it Are not good for heavy duty towing but I never really worried about it since I only pulled a motorcycle on a trailer or a trailer to lowes and back. I pick up my new camper in 2 weeks so I'm getting the truck ready now. I'm going to put new tires all the way around. I'm looking for a tire that is safe Rides decently when not towing and is All terrain tire since I go to off road trails (Hunt/Fish) but not hard core mudding. I have a wrangler for that. Any brand better than others when it comes to towing?

I run Cooper AT3XLT on my Ram 3500. Third set. First two sets lasted well over 40k. Towing over 14k about 20k miles a year.

A 1500 truck can have Many Size Tire/Wheel options! Some with 20" "O Ring Tires"! Look Cool to some members but Not a Good Towing tire! You could Post your Rim/Tire Size so people can try to give some Recommendations! Youroo!!

I recently put on BFG KO2 LT LR E. Very happy with them. Good ride daily driving. Run at 45psi when not towing. They are a bit pricey though.

I ran GY DuraTrac tires on a Dodge half-ton and was quite happy with them. Good year around traction and they wore very well towing. Liked em so much I put a set on the new HD.

I put Falken Wildpeak A/T3W on my F-150. LT rated E tires for towing. Pretty quiet. Good tread. Great in rain and snow (3W rated). Have worn like iron so far. One of the most economical tires out there. There may be better AT tires out there, but I don't think there's a better value to be had; the price-performance balance of this tire is unmatched.

I've been real happy with Hankook Dynapro on my 2006 Dodge 2500. This is a farm truck so tows stock trailer and flat deck a lot more than an RV so they get worked pretty hard. It's great in snow and soft ground with the Hankooks. I don't really measure milage, but I get about two years out of a set and I'm into the second year of my second set.
