Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Hello fellow RVers,
I apologize in advance if I am posting this in an incorrect location.
I am not a fan of the TPMS (EZ READ TIRE CAPS) that were included on my new 2022 Forest River Grey Wolf 26RR because I cannot monitor it while driving down the road.
I need a recommendation for a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for my new RV Trailer. I have TPMS installed on my truck so I only need them for the trailer.
I have looked at multiple brands but I am uncertain which brand to choose but the reviews are not very good.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciate. I would like to purchase the best that I could afford, because the most expensive are not always the best.
Thanks.

I've been using TireMinder since 2017 with no problems. Change the battereis once a year. It has saved me twice. And it has good reviews!

We’ve been using the TST system for the past two years and had no issues. One of the nice things is the monitor can be charged and used without the cord.
Another is you can program different vehicles on one monitor, so you can have sensors on multiple trailers on one monitor. Works great when having a RV , boat and utility trailer.

If you end up with this one get the extender. I mounted mine on top of the LP tank cover.

TST. Only thing I don’t about it is not being able to all tires at once. It scrolls through them one by one.

Tire Minder I10
I purchased the Tire Minder I10 about a year ago. It's currently listed online at $329 for the unit, a signal booster, and 6 transmitters. It's super easy to set up. I have a class A and use a tow dolly to carry a Jeep Cherokee, so I have the 10 transmitter unit. I don't normally have an problems with signal. The only issue that I have had with it is that you can't change any of the settings for the alarm. If the pressure in a tire goes up or down a certain percentage (I think it's 10%) the alarm will sound. My car dolly has small 8 ply wheels, so when it's hot outside sometimes the pressure will increase (which is normal for that tire) beyond the threshold limit and the alarm goes off. Besides that I've had no issues. It can monitor up to 20 tires.

I have TST system on my class C coach. Scrolling thru TP and Temp is not an issue because system will sound immediate alert when there is a blowout (I know from experience). If you already have a system on your truck I suggest checking to see if it is expandable by just adding sensors to your trailer.

TST for me. I’ve been using it about a year and saved one tire already. It scrolls through all the tires rapidly, about 3 seconds per tire. Fully adjustable for both upper and lower limits and the repeater is easy to install and use. No downside at all.

X2 on TST. Had the flow through sensors for maybe ten years, on two different units, and the peace of mind they provide is great.

I have a TST 507. Have for three years. They work what ever brand you choose. Caught two blows and just a month ago caught a screw in tire. Saved a blow out which would have caused lots of damage. Easy to cause 4 G in damage on a camper. Had time to slow down and get off road. Do your research and choose the one with features you like. I installed metal valve stems to stop the whipping of stem.

I see you have a 2020 Silverado 1500. Does it have the advanced trailering system? If it does, all you need to do is get the sensors and you can monitor trailer tire pressure and temperature on your infotainment screen.

Sorry but that was from the factory, not possible to connect both systems.

Thanks but correct me if I am wrong but based on the reviews this is more of a passive system? Not a lot of great reviews.

No, I unfortunately do not have that feature, I can only check the trailer lights.
