Tireminder A1A on the way

We've had our 832IKBS for about 10 weeks and have put maybe 1500 miles on it so far. I am meticulously paranoid about the Castle Rock tires. I check the pressure in them before we leave and every time we stop. So far no problems. Until yesterday.

We had just left the house and had gone about 5 miles when randomly at a fairly sharp turn coming up to a stop I checked the tires in the mirror. The front driver's side was obviously way down. Slapped the hazards on and hopped out with my gauge. 4psi. Luckily there was a truck stop less than a mile away where I was able to change it safely.

After we got to the camp, it appears we hit something as there is a significant cut dead center in the tread. Bad enough that if you squeeze the tire it aspirates. I'm just ecstatic that I noticed it before it turned into a bomb because there was no significant change in towing attitude.

So, the TPMS I've been procrastinating over is on its way and I'm going to get to see if the only extended warranty I bought (tires) was worth it.
