Titan tower

Anyone tow with a titan? Mine came with tow package. I can definitely tell I’m towing something lol. Any tips on accelerating. When in tow mode feels like the gear doesn’t wanna shift and I don’t wanna cause a sudden jump in shifting.

Anyone that tells you they "pull without knowing anything is back there" a 5000lb plus trailer is full of it. You're going to know it's back there.

In tow/haul mode, probably the same no matter what the brand of truck, the gears hold higher to help you out with your load. I don't know what the RPM's are for that truck, but in the gasser Fords, the RPMs would get up to over 4000 when under load (or in Tow/Haul). That engine would scream. But it is designed to do just that, as that RPM range is where the truck gets its power. So I would research your engine/tranny combo, see what the RPM range is for its max rated power, and go with it. It does take some getting used to it, for sure.

Cool thanks for the tip. I like to listen to the engine whenever I go up high inclines so I can maybe anticipate when it’s going to shift or if I need to back off

Titan

What year Titan? I have a 17 and yes it does take some getting used to on the shift points, but I’ve never had any problems. There is a 7 mile climb out my way and I have no trouble with maintaining 65 mph pulling my TT. Remember general consensus on this forum is, that if Your towing anything larger than a lawn mower trailer you must have a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel 🤔

C'mon man. You know that's not true. Well, not entirely true. It depends on the size of the lawn mower!!
