Toad equipment

I have a 2020 Ford Escape hybrid I would like to tow behind my
Sunseeker MBS. What equipment is preferred Blue ox or Roadmaster? Roadmaster has a crossbar are there advantages to the cross bar? Is anybody towing a Escape Hybrid, what is your experience like? What portable Braking system do you recommend? Do I need a trickle charger? I am new to a Motor home (I have had numerous trailers) and have not towed a Vehicle. any advice is helpful

My gmc acadia is at the rv dealer, right now, getting setup to be towed. Once that's done I'll bring in the rv for the final setup and testing

You have done some research now your rv dealer is the place to go to next. See what equipment they install and what they recommend. You will have questions and nows the time to get them answered and make your decisions. For example, I opted for a lighter, 31 lb., tow bar, than what the rv dealer quoted and I wanted an accessory kit which came with locks and a cover for the tow bar.

My dealer sells Blue Ox equipment for the base plates, tow bars, etc.

We do not tow an Escape, but rather a Ford Fiesta. Between Roadmaster and Blue Ox, we preferred the Blue Ox because the baseplate hardware is nearly invisible when the car is not used as a toad.

Our brake hardware choice was RVi Brake 3 for easy installation, small size, and portability. But, there are many brake system choices, each probably with their own advantages.

Good point on the nearly invisible baseplate attachments.

I was impressed by the Blue Ox base plate instructions available on line to download. Detailed, color pictures.
