Toad Report

I have a 2015 Forester 2501 TS, Chevrolet Based Class C with a 6.0 Liter Gas V8. I just purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler as my TOAD, had the SMI Duo Stay and Play Supplemental Brake system installed along with a Road Master II Tow Bar. Total install cost for both $4033.00 in Northern California.

Just a quick opinion: The Chevrolet pulled the Jeep with ease. Flat ground and normal freeway hills, just a little slower than running with the motorhome only, not uncomfortable and I was able to keep up with the DP with a toad, so not to bad. On a very steep hill nearby my home, I normally pull it in second gear, I was down to first gear and never ran out of power. The Road Master worked great, easy to hook up and did what it was suppose to do. The Stay and Play worked great, much better than I expected. Downhill braking was smooth and noticeable, one quick unexpected stop in town the unit did what it was suppose to do.

Overall real pleased with the overall setup. JH
