I have a Sherline LM-2000 that I use on my 2021 Vibe 21BH (tongue weight = 940lbs).

The Sherline works great.

Has anyone one tried this scale:

https://www.etrailer.com/Tongue-Weig...er/e99044.html

I like the idea of being able to use it as a jack foot plate to get my weight but it’s pricey.

The shurline is the one where you have to take off the ball mount part of your hitch and put this one on instead?

And you're selling it? How much would you be asking?

Dsjohns, have you weighed your setup to see how accurate the WeighSafe hitch is?

I've used the Sherline scale for 20 years and found it invaluable for setting up trailers (plural). Once the camper is set up the scale is dormant so $120 for a one-time use is rather steep. I loan this to buddies all the time.

Loading U-Haul trailers for various moves has become the current use. Unlike camper trailers there is an almost infinite number of ways to load the trailer and it takes me a bit of trial and error go get the weight and balance right on these.

Most measuring devices are most accurate at the mid point of their scales so a 2000 pound scale is what I have on mine since my tow vehicle has a maximum load of 920 pounds. The pressure gauges are interchangeable.

Another option is the Curt BetterWeigh blutooth system, I bought it when it was called Haulguage. It's same tech that the new trucks have on board for doing weights.

No just use some cribbing/blocking to get the scale plunger under the hitch cup and lower it down.

Yes. My 2511s can vary from 900 to 1100, so a #2000 Sureline is the best option. That puts common tongue weights in the middle of the gauge range, which is most appropriate.

It is surprisingly accurate, within 20-40 lbs of actual weight when weighed on a real scale. I really like it because it not only gives me a very close approximation of tongue weight, but also tells me how well my WDH is set up.
I have it, too and the numbers it provides are very close to actual scale numbers.

It's a bit of a PITA to set up the first time.

to do correctly you set up scale the same height as your hitch using blocks then lower tongue on scale . $75

Looks pretty handy and versatile. I would certainly consider it.

I put my Sureline on top of the floor jack and roll it under the hitch. Jack it up till the foot lifts off the ground and read it. Did this as the last thing before hitch up.

I can't find any information on a 'Shurline' tongue scale? Did you mean a 'Sherline' Scale like many have referenced in this thread?

My Sherline scale came with a screw in extension to fit in the coupler. They may all include this.

As noted, there is only one Sherline scale. You can unscrew one guage and screw in another. Been there done that when I went from a 19ft trailer to a 34 ft trailer.
