Tow Dolly help!!
I have a 06 Georgetown 35' MH. Wanting to tow a 2021 Toyota Camary Hybird. It's front wheel drive, so I know I have to have a Tow Dolly to tow, so it doesn't
mess up the battery charging system. My question is. Are all tow dolly's the same? Are they surge or electric braking? My rig has a 7 pin connector. Is there
anything I should be aware of or need. besides the tire straps?

I prefer a turning base. [ no need to leave steering unlocked, or key in ignition] I also prefer surge brakes.
one thing I have no experience with is Hybrids. does yours have regenerative braking? if so you need to be sure that does not interfere with towing. Other than that good luck DR

I do know that it has auto em brakes. (When it is in park, it always engages the emergency brake system.) Looks like I will need to call the dealer and find out the do's and don'ts of towing this Hybird. Are all of the tow dolly's the same. As far as the length of the arm that attaches to your hitch? Do all dolly's have the same carry weight? Is the tire straps the only type of attachment to the Dolly?.
Sorry, for the mundane questions. I should probably rent one before I make the purchase of a Dolly.

Can you explain what a turning base is? I've only towed a car twice, not for camping. Once to get a friend home, once to get it to the shop. I rented a dolly from "U-haul". I just drove up (ok, actually pushed up in both cases) and strapped the car down. I don't remember keeping the steering unlocked or key in. The dolly turns, the car follows.

Here’s a link to YouTube about tow dollies that may answer a lot of your concerns.

All brands of tow dollies are as different as day and night. All tow dollies are different. Everything from basic to high end models........I would do your homework before buying. Not all dollies have the same capacity.
My comparison would be like saying I am going to buy an RV they are all the same.............
Just a quick google search tow dolly prices can be in the $800 to $5000 price range.
Good Luck !

I had a MasterTow with electric breaks. It worked great. It has a turning base. You can also get surge breaks if you want.
Just having a 7 pin connector on your bumper doesn't mean you have trailer brakes. That 7 pin can either pass through built-in trailer brake control, or for vehicles that do not have an integrated trailer brake controller then it will pass the signal from the external/third party controller. You need to determine which you have/need.

I use a Stehl Tow dolly. Have used it for years and probably 20000 miles. No issues other than maintenance. Mine has electric brakes, a pivoting table and I believe 3500 pound capacity. I tow a 2020 Equinox.

The tray the tires of the car sit in swivels. the U haul dolly probably had that also. DR
