Tow Mirrors recommendations

The other day while parked on the street someone side swiped my mirror. Figured I'd replace with tow mirrors. What aftermarket mirrors have you used? I have a 2011 half ton Silverado.

Try looking on amazon. Found good tow mirrors for my 06 ram just like original. Now I need to find some for my new to me 2014 Ram.

I bought a pair of Trail Ridge mirrors from 1A Auto https://www.1aauto.com/search?q=Trail+ridge and I'm more than happy. OEM quality at 1/3 the price. I can tell no difference from my buddy's factory original tow mirrors.

I found a set on Ebay that I really liked for $144.. Since I was replacing power mirrors for power mirrors I had to take my truck to a shop and let them install them. Cost more to have them installed than I paid for the mirrors themselves.

Can you elaborate on that?

I have changed two sets of "power mirrors for power mirrors" (a set on each truck), and they simply plug into the existing harness. Takes about 5 minutes per side on my Chevy trucks.

To the OP. Check out some of the EBay sellers. I have a bought a few sets for GM vehicles there for less than $100. The set on my '02 have been trouble free for probably 5 years now.

Sure.. while I was shopping for the tow mirrors, the sales page recommendation was that I take it to a professional shop and have them install the mirrors i.e. time, tools , experience, so and so on.
I was more than happy to take it to my auto shop and have them install them since in their words it needed to be calibrated to the controls. DH and I also did not have the time or the tools or even the know how to take the door skins off on my truck and reinstall them when the mirrors were replaced.
For me it was money well spent.
