Towing

I have a Hemisphere 282rk that I recently bought. When I brought it home I had the weight distribution hitch on but not the sway bar control. The trailer is 35ft long dry weight is about 6700 lbs. I'm towing it with a 2012 Ford f350. So my question is do I need to have one on there.

Are you asking, do I need the sway control on or not having the weight distribution on?

I'm thinking having it on there just to be safe.

Depends on what WDH you have but if the sway control is there then Yes use it.

Is your F350 a dual rear wheels ?

I'm thinking it's a haul master, don't know anything about it because it came with camper.
My truck is a single wheel

Yes, use the sway bars.

Yes I would use the sway control as well as the weight dist. bars. Think of the trailer being a big sail to cross winds. 35 feet of it. Not as big deal if you are pulling it just in town.

The reality is with that truck you probably don't really need either one.

However for an added safety margin I would suggest a WDH hitch with integrated sway control such as a Blue Ox sway pro or Equalizer 4 point

I have WDH but don't have the sway control box so I ordered the sway control. Its the one that mounts on the small ball on the WDH then mounts on another small ball that's mounted on the side of the trailer frame. I never used this setup before so I don't know anything about it.
Are those preset ? I don't mind taking it off when I'm backing up.Click image for larger version
