I towed a 31’ foot TT ( really 35’10 bumper to hitch. Loaded was 9k plus. I owned 4 trucks 2011 2500 Ram CTD, 2014 Toyota Tundra, 2014 F 150 platinum with 3:55 rear and finally 2016 F350. I never felt white knuckles while driving except going over the Pat Tillman bridge during a high wind advisory with wind socks flying straight. The anticipation was way worse than the experience. I used a equalizer 4 point on all 4 trucks. That said towed my brother’s motor cycle on golf cart trailer with my 2018 Ram with 1900# payload 400 to 600 pounds more than both the mentioned 1/2 tons and hated every minute of the tow, but bought a assemble yourself 12x8 shed, shingles to roof it, 8 treated and still very wet 4x4s almost 2500 in the bed of the truck plus another 600 in passengers and truck did great. You never know

However it was all over the road being pulled and swayed by every big size truck that passed. it drank the gas and had no power pulling it over the large bridge where I live. By the time I added hitch weight from the RV including full propane tanks, The 50 lb WDH , gear in truck, our weight and dogs we ran out of payload pretty quick. I traded it in on the Ram 2500
And there is always the other side.

Tows great. Plenty of power on the east coast hills. Rockies may be different.
Absolutely no sway on the freeway at 60MPH with semis passing me. None. If I was not constantly scanning the mirrors as I do, I would never know they were there.

Mileage on freeway is 10-11

Yes, I have to be careful with payload. War Department and I travel fairly lite. Just Stella the Rottie and us. Everything goes in the trailer. Truck Bed has lawn chairs and one grill.
