I wouldn't listen to all the neigh sayers out there. You did your research on the truck capacities (i.e. payload and towing) and are well within the trucks limits with your trailer. Frankly, I don't understand why so many of the replies were worried about payload? Your towing a travel trailer not a fifth wheel! Only 10% or so will be on the hitch or bed of the truck. Personally, I'm jealous I think you will love that truck! Not to mention the nice ride and better gas mileage when your not towing ( as opposed to a three quarter ton). Drive safe now.

I have towed my 2016 2703ws with both a 2016 150 Ecoboost and a 2018 150 Ecoboost with the new 10 speed trans without any issue. At no time did the truck feel under powered or unable to properly brake with a fully loaded trailer.

I'm just here to see how long people keep recommending an f750 even though you already got a new f150.

Well ya youve done your homework and the dealer says it can be done it’s just you are at the edge of the envelope with a half ton truck. You can rent 3/4 ton pick ups at most decent rental yards.

I have a 31 foot Forest River Flagstaff. I pull the trailer with a 2016 Ford Expedition XLT EL. The truck with the heavy duty tow package will pull 9200 lbs. I use a Equalizer 4 point distribution hitch.

I am towing a 2019 Flagstaff 26RBWS with a loaded weight of about 7000 pounds. My tow vehicle is a 2017 Ford F-150 4WD 3.5L EcoBoost with the 10 speed transmission, heavy duty max tow package, 3.55 lockable rear end and 7050# GVWR package. I have grown tired of all of the 'experts' who have told me this is a bad combo. I love this truck. Since the dealer did not know how to set up a weight distribution hitch that took some doing and multiple trips to the scales to get it the way I wanted it. On the flats the truck drives like nothing is behind it but only gets 12 mpg. I have never had any problems with the mountains in North Georgia. I love how the 10 speed downshifts and uses engine braking on the downhills. When not pulling the trailer, it is my daily driver and gets 18-19 mpg around town and 23-24 on the highway. I added AirLift's to make hitching and unhitching easier. I normally run 5 psi. On those rolling sections of Interstate where you get that porpoising feeling bumping the AirLift's up to 15 psi takes care of that. All in all a good all around truck.

Many saying you'll be fine, are experienced towers.
That 34'+ TT will have a loaded tongue weight around 1200lbs. The loaded trailer weight could easily weigh at least 8500lbs.
I'm an experienced tower and I have a 2014 F150 3.5 EcoBoost with Max Tow package and 1828lbs of payload.
I would NEVER tow a TT of that weight and length, unless I had a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. Even if the F150 also had the HD Payload package.
I love my truck but as a retired firefighter/EMT, I don't believe in pushing safety limits.
Lollolol did you just say as a retired Firefighter you don't believe in pushing safety limits? Not being facetious but I used to work for Oshkosh/Pierce and then built wildland apparatus for a good number of years. The only folks I've ever seen harder on equipment were Marines....and those were fire apparatus as well...P19s....too funny lol

Might I suggest you consider a Titan XD? I was a Blue Oval F250 guy since 1983. In 2017 I got tired of Blue Oval prices....
42k on my XD with 13k towing fifth wheel and love it....and it doesn't beat your colon out when driving it like aF250 does😁 I have the Cummins but after driving a few of the gassers I was extremely impressed. Just a thought....

Most people I talk to that have experienced it, have said that anything over 9000 pounds with a half ton truck. The set up will not be happy.......need to go 3/4 ton.

The reason for the differences in experience and opinion is that not all trailers of the same weight are created equal. Being within the weight ratings alone doesn’t guarantee a good towing experience. The trailers weight distribution by design and added weight, tongue weight, axle position, tires, yaw inertia, and effective tongue length all add to or subtract from the trailer’s stability. Combine those characteristics with the tow vehicles you may end up with a good combo or a bad one.

That's Dangerous, I would start by checking my Trailer Brakes first, then my Brake controller. Eventually you'll find out whats keeping you from getting slowed down!

I wonder if you may exceed the limits of your lease. Make sure your lease is clear in writing as to what you intend to do just in case you smoke it. I always thought the suburban was a 3/4 ton.

I have been towing my rig for a couple of years and have had no problems, even in the California mountains. Gas mileage is anywhere from 7 - 9 mph. The 26 gal tank helps. But the truck has moxy. My signature block has all my data. My trailer is 6000 dry, 8000lbs loaded

By never getting slowed down, I mean in traffic and up hills. I keep up with traffic. The breaks are fine.

We have a 2017 F-150 3.7 eco Boost 375HP. 10speed Tow Package Automatic Pulling a 25 ' camper with equalizer hitch. Best truck I have EVER owned pulling a camper. It doesn't even know it's back there. Very skeptical when salesman said that I would get better performance & gas mileage than with my 5.8 F-150. I told him a V-6 isn't capable of that. I was wrong & he was so right. We live in Tennessee & the land is far from flat. 20
MPH truck alone, 12-15 with trailer in tow.
You won't go wrong with that Twin Turbo work horse

I had a 2012 max tow ecoboost and my opinion is that it is probably the best pulling gas engine around. With it I towed a 31 bdss with a combined loaded weight around 15-15500 lbs. I had a reese cam-type sway control/weight distributing hitch and everything sat nice and level. pick a gear so its not shifting all the time and go. For a couple times a year, you should be fine.

Being a half ton though, you'll need to treat it as such. just like others mentioned, if you want to meet every Gvw rating there is, you'll find that you probably will be overweight on the rear axle even with a hitch. Its not so much the trailer but it will be what you put in your truck that will put you over-even just passengers. With that said it could be a bit soggy in the back end and air bags will help but it wont help with the numbers. I never went faster than 60 mph because of the above and because braking will be next limiting factor. I got passed all the time by people going 70+ with 150's with their bumper dragging and front wheels to the sky and all I could do was pray and think what an idiot.

Thought I could mention that I use a gm 2500hd with 6.0 gas now with the same trailer and hitch so I can give you a comparison. Silly thing is that the f150 was rated to pull 2000 lbs more than the 2500.

Power-wise- ecoboost is more powerful and can run lower revs. Braking of the 2500 is way way better. As for the feeling of sway- I d say similar. But the extra stiffness of the rear definitely helps with the porpoising on some roads.
