Dry weight for the camper is around 4,600 lbs and our Sequoia is rated at 6,200. We do this with 5 passengers. You shouldn’t be having issues.
Have you ever taken it to a CAT Scale?

sad to say BUT the RV dealers will tell you that you can pull a 42' trailer with a bicycle if they can get you to buy their trailers! Happened to me, stupidly I listened to their BS about my truck being able to pull the trailer we bought only to find out an hour later that the truck couldn't pull the trailer up the hill on interstate 70 going west out of Denver! OH but it did pull great in Kansas. Had to buy a different truck!!!

Slightly off-topic but...

Low mileage. I get that. My 11-year-old Tacoma has 100 000 km (60 000 miles) and is finally broken in. I know that because I started to get better gas mileage this year.

I tow a 23 foot Surveyor in the mountains and simply choose to go slower. I was told by my Toyota dealer to use 4th gear when pulling the trailer. 90 kmph (55 mph) works for me and keeps the rpms short of annoyingly loud. I ran into a guy with a similar setup who was complaining that his kept hunting between the overdrive and 4th gear. He’d never heard of choosing 4th gear to lock out overdrive. I’m not sure he believed me.

Could be oxygen sensor or a computer issue. Especially if you purchased vehicle in a low altitude state like Texas. We had new 2013, 3/4 ton pulling 1969 Airstream , 3500 lb on I 75 up step grade, Truck slowed to crawl and finally quit. a tow to nearest Chevy dealership and a check on the computer showed it needed a program upgrade for altitude. Also I warn you never trust a dealer, auto or RV they want to sell you and will tell you everything is okay. Do your own math.

I sure hate when people do that.. create a post then disappear.
Too many details left out, as everyone said.. was it a 4.6l, a 5.7.. I think you could even get the V6 in the states. What was the mileage? What "fizzled"? Maintenance??

That's what happens when someone comes here seeking validation for a situation and they don't receive it, because those with more experience are providing honest responses. So they move on and try to find that validation elsewhere.
