Traded 2015 6.4 Hemi for 2019 3500 HO Cummins

So I bit the bullet and traded my 15 6.4 Hemi for a shiny new 2019 3500 Limited with the HO 6.7 Cummins. I used the Hemi for 28,000 miles mostly pulling my 7500 lb boat and my 2018 Vengeance FB2613 bumper pull toy hauler, both of which the Hemi pulled very well... as long as I kept the gas hose near by. We went with the big dog diesel because we anticipate moving up to a bigger, heavier, 5th wheel toy hauler eventually.

I'm wondering who has the new Ram, and what those of you with the new gen Cummins are pulling as well as your thoughts regarding the platform.

Went from a 2016 Ram 2500 4x4 cc lb with the 6.4 Hemi, to a 2018 3500 cc lb 6.7 CTD. For me it was one of my better decisions. Went from towing at times north of 4K and touching 5K a time or two to 1700 Rpms and touch 2300 a time or two. Pulling about 13.5K Fifth Wheel. I felt the Hemi did well for Under Under 10K, and fair for 10K. I wouldn't have towed anything over 10K with mine, it just wasn't happy. The Hemi with the new 8 speed is supposed to performa a bit better.. But Towing with the cummins should be very relaxed.

I think you'll like the 3500. I sure as heck do. It replaced an early 4th gen 1500 that had fallen on it's face. I probably would've too if I drank that much fuel in my lifetime. The 1500 did a decent job of tugging our 8500 lb Rockwood and did so for 45K kms. The 3500 is a night/day improvement over that frequent white knuckle arrangement. And even with diesel prices typically eclipsing gas prices we're spending 40 percent less on fuel overall. That Cummins grunt is way more fun than that scream'n Hemi!

I just went from a '16 Chevy 2500 with the Dmax to a '19 RAM 3500 SRW CC with the 6.7HO in anticipation of upgrading my 10K bumper toy hauler to a 5th wheel.

I have not towed with it yet, but with my normal driving so far, I am not a fan of the Aisin. They are suppose to be coming out with an update to the software for the tranny in a month or so, so I hope that will help the long shifts. Other than that, I like the exterior, and the interior is probably the best, at least for now.

I went from a 2010 Nissan Frontier to an '18 Ram CTD.
Diesel lug and grunt works way better than gas V6 high RPM screaming.
The bigger and heavier Ram also gets better fuel mileage than the Nissan.

I upgraded to a 2019 Ram 3500 from a 2012 2500 Ram Hemi, when we moved up to our 38 ft Cedar Creek last June.. Tows great so far. We have the auto level Air suspension and love it. We've gone over several MTN range on the way to AZ for the winter and it doesn't seem to care whether we go up, down or stay level.

We just got a 2019 Ram last October with the HO 6.7 and auto level suspension and love it! It has the 8’ bed, my first diesel and first long bed. Decided to get the long bed partially due to the higher ccc, without getting a dually. Neither DW nor I was willing to park outside so a dually was out of the question. My 03 Ram 2500 w/5.7 Hemi pulled our 16 302FK Hemisphere just fine, but like you a 5th wheel is in our future.
