Tst 507 tpms

Got my new system yesterday. All programmed and ready to put on my trailer. Have a smallish trip planned to start tomorrow so I get to see how it works.

Was pushing it a bit last year on our 2 weeks trip to California with the stock tires that came with the trailer. Now have GY Endurance and feel a bit more comfortable.

Question, can anyone with this system tell me how long the battery in the actual system lasts without being plugged in to 12volt? Not the sensors themselves, the readout monitor.

A l-o-n-g time!

I charge mine at the beginning of the season and maybe one more time throughout the camping season. Granted we are doing mostly weekend camping trips at this point but the several, week+ trips we've made, I rarely see a drop in the battery indicator. We turn it on 15 minutes or so before we leave and off, once arriving.

Cool thanks. Was thinking about the hardwire option for power but I just don't really want to deal with that. Also didn't really want another power cord snaking from the 12 volt port across the dash. Will just charge up when not in use.

Yep, I had those same thoughts and found I just don't have to plug it in while on the road. Since it does have a light sensor, (that turns on an inner illumination light in the display) maybe if you drove a lot in the darker night time hours, it might drain quicker but we don't do a lot of traveling after dark.

I like the looks of the system. Seems well built and I like the small size. Not obtrusive at all. Hopefully it will have a good signal and I won't need to purchase a repeater.

Went on the one trip and it worked great. Connected right up and never lost the signal. Very pleased.

Well mine works great but cannot get the receiver to quit showing one tire on the tow vehicle. Minor. Seeing how you live around the corner I'm hoping you might be able to solve this slight problem. Later RJD

To delete a tire, press and hold the code button until the monitor beeps, then scroll to the tire you would like to delete, then press and hold the set button until the code reverts back to FFF FFF, then press and release the set. The tire will be gone. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 210-420-0132

Thanks,
Mike Benson

Mike, I am about to purchase a 10 sensor TPMS system. I have narrowed it down to the 507, EEZ RV 515, or the Tire Tracker 500. What makes your system the right choice? BTW, the fact that you are active on the forums providing customer service is a big plus.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Can we set up a call today to discuss our system in detail, and reasons we stand apart from EEZ and Tracker? Please let me know if you are available.

I apologize in the delay in getting back to you.

Thanks,

And the above post is exactly why I purchased the TST monitor. Just hooked up today after programming. Very easy setup although the DW and dig did not appreciate all the beeping since I did the initial programming and setup in the house [emoji3]

Here we are on a holiday weekend and the manufacturer is setting up phone calls and responding to posts.

Along with the fact that the system works why look at anything else?

That battery love you LONG time.

Below is from my notes when I spoke with TST last year prior to purchasing. These notes have held true as well.

* Sensors are using battery whenever they are on valve stems. Left on 24x7x365 they should last 12-18 months. Probably a wise idea to put it on the calendar to replace then annually but I'm not that smart and have gone 15 months on mine and will probably go the full 18 before changing them.
* You can extend the life of the sensors by removing them from the stems. BE SURE TO RECORD WHICH TIRE THEY ARE ON BEFORE DOING THIS! If you remove them, store them in a climate controlled environment. I'm far to lazy to remove them though.
* The screen that goes in the cab of the truck is also rechargeable. I NEVER plug it into the cigarette lighter in the TV....never had to. I charge it once or twice a year max. It will hold a charge for up to 5 days when powered on constantly. I always power it off when I land. That increases the usable time between charges drastically.

Enjoy your TST 507. I feel like I got my $ worth. Their phone support has been superb. Human that is capable of answering questions answers every time I've called.
