Every time we hit a bump in my truck, my wife goes "ugh!"

However, I'll agree with several others that lowering tire pressure in the rear tires will give a "softer" ride.
You'll find Tire/Load/Pressure recommendations on tire manufacturers websites. Airing down reduces weight carrying capacity, but adjusting pressure to match the load will give benefits in ride, tire and suspension life as well as overall body and vehicle integrity.

If the low tire pressure light bothers you, put a piece of electric tape over the light.

I've got a F350 Dually with 5100 Bilstein's and it's much better than stock.

Cheap easy-to-do upgrade.

Another thought.. Sulastic shackles.

I've heard they help.. I have not installed them. Like I said earlier, the Bilstein 5100 was good for me.

I think it was mentioned earlier in this thread, but just a reminder that for Ford owners, you can change the TPMS warning trigger points for free (FORScan) -- I pushed mine down to 55 psi. For other brands, I don't know if such a tool exists, but you might be able to have your dealer change those trigger levels for you.

Can do it with Rams as well a couple ways. I have AlfaOBD and you just need the proper PIN from the dealer - sensitive subject with dealers but the PIN belongs to you and your truck. For '18 and up trucks you need a security cable. I have mine set quite low, 50 front and 35 rear I believe, as I check it occasionally in the EVIC and I will still get a warning if it's extremely low. I adjust my tires for the load. I don't do it for a smoother ride, but for tire wear and traction. Even fully loaded I was wearing out the center of the rear tires - these factory 20s have big tires and have a lot of load capacity. I've heard the '19 and up Ram 2500s don't need 80 in the rear anymore.
