Unhitching 5th wheel

Hello everyone. Quick question just wondering if this is normal or not...

I use the Anderson levelers. I only use these when the auto level gets the wheels off the ground on one side. Whenever I need to use the Anderson levelers when I release the hitch (B&W companion) the trailer goes back about 1-2 inches. It does not do this when using auto level only. I have the wheels chocked at unhitch. Any ideas? Is this just normal? Any information is welcomed. Thank you very much.

When you drive the RV up on the levelers you're putting the suspension under stress either to the front or rear due to the shape of the levelers, so when you release the hitch the RV will move laterally enough to release the stress, so I wouldn't worry about it moving a little. It would help a little if you would put the truck in neutral for a second or two once you've chocked the wheels. You'll still get some movement, but both the truck and RV will move so they don't try to separate when the hitch is released.

Good suggestion. I couldn't have worded it better myself.
