Using cruise control while towing TT

I currently have a2014 Ford F150 Supercrew 5.0 4x4 with max tow package, that I picked up in July of 2017, I bought a 31ft TT last year. I used the tow/haul mode and never used the cruise control druing towing. The question i have is, am I able to use cruise control while in tow/haul mode and towing the TT on highways?

I donít have a F150 but I have used cruise control set at 65-70 on those extra long highways when traffic was not crazy.

If I didn't use the cruise, I'd be in jail. No reason not to except the normal reasons.

I was sceptical about using cruise control while in tow-haul mode but it worked beautifully and I wasn't tired when we arrived at our destination. I set mine at 63 mph, had good gas mileage, everything ran cool and we turned it off when we started into the mountains. One word of caution though. Turn it off in windy conditions or in hilly terrain or you will hear a loud sucking sound over the road or wind noise. That's your gas tank draining really fast!

I have the same truck and used cruise in tow haul mode on round trip from Tennessee to Yellowstone with no issues.

I use mine all the time - F350 DRW. Only issue I have with cruise is that I tend to like to slow down more for turns/curves and am always finding myself kicking it off.

X2

Mountains and cruise control not as good as nearly flat or gentle grades...

Use mine all the time. Adaptive cruise and towing is a great combo.

All the time, and it works very well in the hills and mountains. Helps keep me from getting a ticket. Very easy for the speed to creep up when everyone is passing you, to where you find yourself exceeding the speed limit.

x2. Only on flat open roads, never on hilly roads or hilly and curvy highways.

One right hip, mine........requires I use CC much of the time. If it automatically downshifts much, I kick it off.

I tow a pop-up and use cruise all the time. In fact, going through the Rockie Mountains the cruise control was the only thing that saved my brakes and my sanity.

Oh yes, definitely with the pop-up we used cruise control regardless of road conditions because of how light it was behind our tow vehicle, barely knew it was there - I never even turned off overdrive when towing the popup. Once I started towing heavier campers, I turned off the overdrive and am more judicious with cruise control.

With my truck, cruise control in combination with tow/haul mode is a great thing. In most situations it just “knows what to do.”

I use cruize control while towing and use the +/- buttons to control my speed.

I hardly ever have to touch the brakes or shut the cruize off unless I'm getting ready to stop.
