VIN decoder shows both min and max axle ratio

So we are considering a new tow vehicle. We've used the Ford VI decoder to show the Ford Expedition specs. Obviously the axle ratio plays into towing capacity. But this is what it shows:
Axle Ratio (:1) - Front 3.73 3.31 min 3.73 max
Axle Ratio (:1) - Rear 3.73 3.31 min 3.73 max
So is it 3.31 or 3.73? I'm guessing 3.73 since that is listed first. Makes a big difference in towing capacity.

And a Tahoe we are looking at is even more confusing:
Axle Ratio (:1) - Front 3.42, 3.08 3.08 min 3.42 max
Axle Ratio (:1) - Rear 3.42, 3.08 3.08 min 3.42 max

Also thinking about a Ford Expedition but around 2010. What year you looking at? Is it the extended version? We have a Escalade extended right now but the extra 1000lbs of towing capacity is really needed.
