Wanting to add a 7 Way plug in the bed of my tow vehicle.

I've been looking online at parts to add the 7 way plug in the bed of my truck. I noticed they make a wiring harness that simply plugs into the factory harness at the bumper. It looks like a very simple install.

My question is what brands do you guys recommend. Do they all use the same size wire in the plug, etc. ?????

I got mine from hitchanything.com when I got my 5th wheel hitch. I got the Curt brand. Super easy install. Wiring looked to be same gauge.

I just did this on Monday. Hardest thing was drilling the 2" hole w/ a hole saw. Purchased off Ebay after finding correct part number. They come in 7 & 9 foot lengths. I went with the 9' but mounted it dead center over the drivers side wheel well. 7' will work if mounting in this location on a 6.5' bed. Go 9' for 8 foot bed.

I have the Reese version, keeps the tailgate from being scratched. Mounted in the post drivers side by the tailgate.

I'm looking at the pollack brand. It's on amazon for the entire kit for $49

i bought from tweety's and got the hopkins for two reason 1) already prewired no need to do your own wiring, kind of plug and play. The backside of the plug allowed for more clearance which made installation much easier
