Weigh Safe Adjustable Ball Mount

Has anyone tried the Weigh Safe ball mount that displays the tongue weight? I think this is an easy way know if you have your trailer loaded correctly. I am thinking about getting one.

I prefer my Sherline tongue scale. Much more versatile.

I have one of the regular ones with a 10" drop (no wdh) for some of my trailers. Due to the WDH I use the shirlene scale on my travel trailer. They offer a WDH as well but I will not give up my propride on the travel trailer.

I find that the hitch scale is difficult to read and that I have to take a picture of it in order to read it closely. The shirlene scale is a bit more accurate as you can really only be +/- 50lbs with the weigh safe I have but I do like how easy it is to raise and lower the height on it and that swapping ball size is easy as well without having the spare one hanging down below it.

I have one and it's OK for a ballpark figure. I think it's more accurate if you've driven a short distance. After I jumped up and down on the coupler a few times I got an extra 100 pounds of tongue weight, which is where the weight stayed after driving. I just carry the box it came in with me, so I always have the other ball. It does not come with a 1 7/8 ball, so if you need one, it's extra.

I love mine. I ended up adjusting the height a couple times and it is an absolute breeze. I tow a couple of cars and it helped a TON (pun intended) to get the positioning correct.
There is a guy on the Forum that can sell you one too if you so choose.

I just got one and was I surprised with the tongue weight of my Wolf Pup 16FQ . Advertised tongue weight of 444 lbs . I've got 650 lbs . Yikes .

Did you get that number after driving a bit or jumping up and down on the tongue? The weight will change, as opposed to just lowering the tongue onto the ball and using that number. At least mine did. I think I went from 650 lbs to 710 lbs. And you want to be on level ground.
