Weigh Safe Hitch
I just learned about a hitch I had not heard of before called "Weigh Safe". It's kind of expensive, but saw a Hitch comparision where it ranked pretty well in terms of performance.
One of the this things I like is that the shank comes in 2 pieces so maybe not as hard to pick up, and the reviewer said it performed very well.
Anyone have one and Do you like it ?

So I pulled the trigger on a Weigh Safe WD hitch today. I saw a great review on Youtube, and I talked to the factory about how heavy it is (I'm an Old Man), and I can break it down into pieces when I hook up, and the same when I unhook. Max 50 lbs. (Shank, then Head, then torsion bars one at a time).
Should be here in a week or so. Going to install myself, because I trust myself more than I do the dealers around here

I have one and I have no complaints. It's easy enough for me to pick up and install. I did find I had to jump up and down on the tongue a few times for it to read correctly.

I have the Weigh Safe weight distributing hitch ordered and should be in tomorrow. I like the way you dial it in for your truck and trailer and the 4 point sway control. Looks like a nice hitch in my opinion.

I had this same issue. Contacted the manufacturer and they replaced the gauge. I had to send it back but the fixed it up and shipped it back to me. So far so good.

I set my gauge when I hooked it up, pulled it a few miles and checked it again, and it was off by about 150 lbs. So reset it again, and it was off again by the time I unhooked.

A Sherline tongue scale is cheaper, as accurate if not more and can be used to weigh other things, like 5th wheel pin weights.

Well made, well finished. The milled aluminum shank itself is a thing of beauty, very lightweight. I find weight is accurate and consistent.
Came with 2 diff sized balls. I ordered with the keyed-alike locking hitch pin (as shown below).
Now that my rig is dialed in, tongue weight optimized, and my height established, an alumistinger would be lighter and simpler, but still appreciate the Weigh-Safe.
Happy with my purchase.

Just checking back to see if you got the new hitch and it's working for you.
I have received my new Weigh-Safe WD Hitch and I believe it's going to work well for me with my truck and trailer. I have only pulled for a couple of very short test drives on the interstate and around town. It's hands down much better than what I had originally installed.

I do believe it is working well. Pulled in some wind a couple of days ago, and it is definitely better than my old hitch (Reese bar and chain). Weight distribution is about the same, which tells me I had the old hitch dialed in. My TT has wide set axles, so I was not getting much Truck-suck with the old hitch and that is still the case.
The head is 49 lbs, and that is the heaviest thing I have to lift - so I can still manage it.

I am using a small furniture mover bought from Harbor Freight to set my hitch on when I remove hitch from truck. Cost only $10 and has a 1000# rating. It rolls well on concrete.
