I should have another update in a week and a half for new tires.
And got the new shoes installed yesterday. Can definitely notice the weight difference but they track way better than the Firestones the truck came with. Toyo AT II AW's that have more sipes for winter.

Installed towing mirrors on my F150. Amazon cheapees for $220 plus tax. Power mirrors & temp sensor works, added turn signals on mirrors, hope the heat works on them.

Got it safety inspected for registration, aired up tires and removed the ugly plastic chrome covers off the wheels. Can’t say why but I like the black rims why hide them

Installed a cabin air filter on my SLT level RAM. For the life of me, I can't figure why RAM doesn't just INCLUDE these on every truck. The housing is there. There is an outline on the housing for the "door" that pops on & off to slide a filter into the housing. Had to cut out the "door area outline" and pop on the door. Door & filter off Ebay was $10. If RAM just did this from the start, it wouldn't cost them $2.
Older video on how this is done. I used a box cutter like the guy in the video. However my plastic was way harder than his. He's just zipping along with his cutter. I was not so lucky. I put a hair dryer on it to warm & soften the plastic a few inches at a time.

Should help with the wife's allergies. Never even thought about the A/C evaporator. Just a bonus protecting that.

Had the exact issue on my 1998 Expedition. Found out about it on a Forum and installed one quickly. Wife has a lot of allergies, too. AFAIK, my newer truck comes with one. 2008 Explorer came with filter installed. Agree, should be standard on all vehicles.

Washed it. Supposed to have at least five days no snow.
Added a cane adjusted Max height to the bed for a grabber under the tonneau. Free! Reaches about 2/3 in.

Adjusted the Lie-o-meter to be close to reality.
There is an engineer mode for the newer F150s that you can enter via the steering wheel controls when starting. Using those controls and the instrument cluster screen, you can adjust bias for a few things. This one is AFE Average Fuel Economy which also changes the miles to empty as well as the mpg.

And how do you do that? In what model years?

There are variations depending key/bush button start or small or large (4 or 8”) dash screen.

Mine is small screen key start.
First, hand calculate your true MPG.
Assuming your mpg is high on the meter. Divide that by 1000 (factory bias).
Press and hold OK on steering wheel.
Start truck. DO NOT touch the foot pedals.
When “Engineering Mode” appears, use up/down arrow buttons until AFE Bias appears.
Release OK, press & release OK to select changing AFE Bias.
Use left/right buttons to increase/decrease bias.
When the number displayed is the one you figured out above (or as close as you can). Press, release OK to accept that bias. It should now show the new bias and mpg.
You can redo by pressing OK if further adjustment needed to show your calculated mpg.
Pressing a pedal or turning the truck off will reset from Engineering Mode.

Big screen push button start:
Press and hold OK.
Press and release start button to enter Accessories condition.
When Accessory Mode appears, press brake pedal & start engine.
Engineering Mode should appear.
Release OK and continue as above with up/down buttons.
Once done, turn off truck.

This will update all displays affected by the mpg data.

I had to redo mine after a couple weeks.
First time I adjusted bias was only on 3/4 tank.
After most of 3 tanks it read about 1.1 low so I had to do some math to figure out the amount I needed to change. This second effort resulted in the new mpg shown in EM was off .1mpg, so I did the redo above and altered the bias a little, just fudging that. Still was off that amount so I fudged a little more. Now it reads correct. I’m saving all my receipts with calculations on them and will fine tune this over a much longer term. My “fudging” was changing the values 5-10.

Poor air flow on this generation Ram. For the '5th gen' HD's, they just came out with a TSB to replace the whole HVAC box because they're even worse.

Some rinky dink stuff over the last couple days. Added a light to the upper glove box. Didn't even know a light should be there. Watched a video of a guy with a Tradesman replacing the upper bin ( Tradesman doesn't get the box with a door ) with a glovebox off a Laramie. The Laramie comes with a light. So I'm thinking, hey, why don't I have a light? Check my box, and there is a place for the light, but those tightwads at RAM have put a plastic plug where the light would go. Another item they could do up front for a $1, but choose the 15 cent plastic plug. Also replaced the bulbs in the overhead map lights & the backseat dome light with LEDs. Looks better.

I always forget to add stuff here on the day I do it. Usually it's a week or so later. Anyhow...

Oil/filter change, fuel filter change and transmission filter change last weekend.

Installed a security vault in the center console earlier this week.
