Cleaned the throttle body and Mass sensor in Big Red. That throttle body was nasty and causing CE codes, or at least I think that`s what did it. After the cleaning I gave her a good burning out and the CE light went out. Total cost about 15 bucks for the cleaners. Probably the first time they were cleaned in 13 years. Yikes.

Swapped the OEM AM/FM/CD radio for one with blue tooth, Sirius XM, USB, mp3 and oh yeah it still does AM/FM/CD.

Installed Bass blockers on all 4 stock speakers so I can have the music play a little cleaner and with less distortion.

I am thinking about doing this too...Just haven't found a new head unit that I like.

I have a bluetooth speakerphone and an Iball wireless backup and I have a phone mount that use the Torque app on while towing.

I sure would like to have all those things built into my head unit. Probably only one of those android based units will work, just not sure if it will stay play am/fm/cd's as well as a pioneer unit for example.

Inspection

Had the oil changed, tires rotated, and lubed what was needed/required.

Pulled it through rain and ice storms across GA, AL, and MS behind my coach. Gave up when the ice started accumulating on the back of my mirrors. Found an open campground, and I'm parked with the kids until the roads are clear... Maybe the kids will make it to school Monday, maybe they will not...

Took it to the body shop to get a repair estimate after getting rear ended by a Western Express semi!!! Pushed my bumper in a few inches. No noticeable damage to body work. My hitch and bumper took the hit. Three days next week to repair. Luckily no towing for a few months!!

What have I done today?

Had warranty recall done one truck and trailer wiring checked out- no charge and no power to trailer when plugged in. Truck checks ok, fault must be in trailer, which is in storage and not accessible until April. Happy new year indeed!!!

Added CTEK MUS4.3 battery charger. This is not my daily driver and the parasitic drain of all the electronics is tough on the batteries. Happy so far. will follow up in week or two.

Copied the music library from my cell phone onto a thumb drive and plugged it into one of the USB ports. Got tired of the TV radio loosing the blue tooth link to the phone...
Planning to put in a jumper wire to enable running the tow mirror flood lights when driving at more than 5 MPH. Too cold to work in the garage today though - 5 degrees out there.
