Installed new Bilstein shocks on the rear. Not hard, but I was unsuccessful using a pry bar to lift the lower end, as suggested on a popular YouTube channel. I ended up jacking the truck up. That dropped the wheel enough to get it in place with no pressure required.

I also bought front shocks but didn't recognize at the time that I have to detach the Pitman arm and compress the coil-over spring to replace them. I can, but I don't want to get into that, two days before leaving on a long camping trip. There's plenty of other prep to do.

Got the nose cap completely covered in love bug bits as we headed home on I75 South today. Lots of cleaning ahead tomorrow.

Replaced the pee yellow license Plate lights with white LEDs, was annoying.
Routed a USB cable though my console from the front storage area’s data/charging jack via a couple new holes. The front storage cubby has a tight fitting sliding lid with no cable outlet that I want to be able to keep closed. Truck has three 12VDC outlet and a USB charging output in the backseat area but only the front USBs allow for apple airplay data connection which supplies my truck with navigation, Waze, etc.

Shoes

Getting some new shoes today, Michelin Defender LTX. The dealer stock tires got me almost 41,000 but with winter coming new ones are needed. I can't wait to see how they compare towing. We have our last trip this weekend.

After changing out the yellow license plate bulbs with white LEDs, the high mount cargo lights now really stood out as yellow. So I replaced them with white LEDs, too . While I am at it, ordered higher power back up lights!

Continuing my LED upgrades, replaced my backup bulbs with LEDs for $14.95 from Amazon. I was in the truck for testing, wife said they were really bright. This was at 12:30PM on a sunny day!
Still considering fog light bulbs. Half for brighter, half for yellow vice white fogs. Head lights are adequate. Only considering upgrades to make ME see better. If it was for an emergency vehicle, the signal, stop, marker lights would be considered, besides they require extra stuff to prevent hyper flash, etc., but right now I consider that $$ wasted.

Bud & Sissy seemed like a better fit while I still have TX plates. Once I get OH plates, then Brad and Janet would definitely be good, especially if 2021 is anything like 2020.

Finally got around to finishing my shock replacement. Did the rears in July before our much shorter than planned roadtrip and noticed a big improvement on some of the heaved roads around here. Just got around to replacing the fronts last weekend and I'm very pleased. Went with adjustable Ranchos front and rear. Yes I straightened out the boot after taking the picture. I should have another update in a week and a half for new tires.

Installed a Roadmaster Active Suspension on my 2014 RAM 3500. I'm impressed with the ease of the install and the overall ride quality improvements even when empty. Noticeable reduction in wheel hop on the washboard county roads and reduced impacts felt from rough transitions and patched concrete roads. Can't wait to hitch up and pull the 5er on Thursday, should pretty much eliminate any squat I had before.Click image for larger version

This is something I want to do on my F350, did you get a preinstall measurement of how much squat it had to compare to? We just got back from a weekender, and would like to get rid of some of the bounce.

Yes I did, it was right at 3.5 inches, just enough to make oncoming cars high beam me when we pull at night. I'll measure again when I hookup on Thursday.
