LOL

Running boards
Bed liners
Power seats
Sunroofs

List goes on.The numbers listed in brochures are equivalent to the dry weight trailer manufacturers list... basically fiction.

There is a note, first line in the guide says they're estimated numbers, meaning you need all the data (IE specific pay load of the vehicle in question) to know what the actual capabilities are.

They're a general guide, they can't be completely specific due to the variations in vehicles.

Work backward from that number. 1475 - all the stuff in/on your truck = weight available for a trailer. 5ers will drop 18-20% of their weight onto the pin. Therefore, you're shopping for a trailer that weighs < (1475 - stuff in/on truck)/0.2.

How many people are in the truck? A fully clothed family of 4 will weight somewhere in the 500 - 600 lb range. Add dogs, gear, bags, electronics, truck accessories, wood, bikes, and anything in/on the bed or in/on the cab.

Add ~75 lbs for the 5th wheel hitch and its hardware.

So, before you connect any 5th wheel, you will have ~650 lbs on the truck (maybe more).

1475 - 650 = 825 lbs remaining for the pin or hitch weight. 825/0.2 = 4,125 lbs. Even if you assume good packing an only drop 17% onto the pin, you're shopping for a 5er that weights (fully loaded, NOT fictional dry) 4,800 lbs.

I think smaller, lighter 5ers will probably land in the 8,000 lb range and drop 1,300 lbs or more onto the pin. Rockwood's lightest Ultra Lite 5er has a published fictional pin of 1,230 lbs.

With only 1,475 lbs of payload, you'll be shopping the super ultra light 5ers ... things like single-axle fiberglass models:
Fully clothed family of four at 500-600lbs? Not in America my friend, not in America.

My 2019 Ram 1,500 limited does a splendid job pulling around my Luxury Surveyor 287BHSS. Plenty of power, very stable at all speeds even when passing semi's. Only negative is that it averages 8 mpg towing, yikes!
