Maybe where your at. Down here in the south, duramax's are a pretty hot item, but it better be in a 4wd. Its hard to get rid of a 2wd anything thats bigger than a half ton. (At least in our, texas, oklahoma, arkansas region.)

14 inches of snow here in the last 2 days, 4x4 sure makes getting around a whole lot easier.

350 motor in a Vega with drag chain wrapped around the headers for motor mounts. It didn't last long, twisted the entire body so the doors would not close and the windshield popped out.

It was not a dually but probably needed to be.

Funny that you say that, I had contemplated doing the same thing once. My brother had a Pontiac Fiero that had a SB Chevy motor in it (in the front)
of course it was a complete ground up job, tubular chassis, tubbed and narrowed 9" ford rearend, it should not have been driven on the street.

I once saw a 60's C30 towing a big fifth wheel with a cowl hood with a cummins badge on it. A company up in Havre Mt specializes in cummins swaps.

I think we have kind of strayed from the original topic but, has the O.P been back at all?

Way off topic now but I'll see the C 30 and Fiero, and raise you a 76 Camaro retrofitted with a cammed up 454 and twin holley's on a high rise. Never finished but used to cross fingers and take it out on the street once in awhile despite no interior whatsoever. Other than the two old bucket seats with wood blocks under them strapped down to the floorboard.

Wish I still had the pictures of that thing. Actually wish I still had the car.

That was the last "project car" then I became half assed responsible.......it sucks.

Hi,

The answer is in the numbers.

And sadly, they don't point responsibly to a lot of the trucks we see pulling huge rigs like this.

FWIW.

Once you get 18,500 in a side wind you'll wish you had a dually.
