What size ball for 26dbh with a blue ox hitch

So our new 26dbh will be here in the next week and my plan is to buy a blue ox sway pro hitch for it. I understand the blue ox hitches donít come with a ball so I want to order one when I buy the hitch so for those that have this setup what size ball do I need to order?

Looks like if your going to go with a Hitch ball offered from Blue Ox they are both 2 5/16 but they come in two sizes one with a 1" rise and the other with a 2" rise so you would have to figure out which one you would need.

Maybe someone else can chime in if you have to go with a Blue Ox Hitch ball or can go with another MFG.

It's going to be a 2 5/16 but they do come in different heights and weight ratings from other MFG's just make sure to get the correct one for your application

Yeah I'd give them a call I'm sure the first thing they are going to ask you are few measurement questions to get an idea if the standard shank that comes with the Blue Ox hitch will work in your application. I'm sure after determining that they can recommend the correct hitch ball for you.

1. Hitch receiver 2" or if you have a 2.5" and plan on using that or reducer sleeve.

2. What is the measurement from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver on your tow vehicle ?

3. What is the measurement from the ground to the inside of the coupler on your trailer ?

Yes to my knowledge the Blue Ox Hitch ships with the standard 2" shank for the hitch receiver...Are you going to install and setup the hitch or have a dealer do it for you ?

The setup is going to be dependent on your Tow Vehicle and your trailer if your doing the install I suggest you read up on the Blue Ox Hitch installation instructions.
