Lots of great responses . To each his own.

For sure. Color is clearly a personal preference. I get why a lot of people wouldn't choose the same as me. And I wouldn't choose the same as them.

But.

I am still gonna laugh when I see somebody driving something gawdaful like metallic copper or burnt orange or teal.

I AM asking why you chose the color of your truck.
For me, I chose white because I like how it does not really show dirt, scratches, dents and dings as bad as a darker color. It just seems so much easier to keep clean and looking nice.
Also I like how it looks hooked to my TT which has the almond color exterior.
What about you?

What color did YOU pick and why?

2017 only Mojave Sand special edition Rebel, the color of dry dirt. I get more compliments on this truck than any sports car I have ever had.

Blue. I sat down with the salesperson and ordered my 2016 Ram 1500 by line item. When it came to color my wife and I had looked at the brochure and she said Red or Blue so I went with Blue.
Here she is at Toad River with a coating of ALCAN road grime.

We chose blue

We didn’t really have a choice. We needed a new tow vehicle, & there were none near our home in Illinois. While visiting family in Indianapolis, we stopped by a dealer & found the truck we needed with tow package, comfortable seats for my damaged back, and was a great price! The dark blue is not as “pretty” as the red I hoped for, but it is a great truck!

First two Chevy 2500's were Victory Red, first red vehicles I ever owned but that's wife's favorite color. I really thought they were sharp looking. They actually hid the dirt well. Next came a 3500 dually in black that was beautiful, but I could never keep it clean enough to keep my anal self happy. After that we now have a white metalflake 3500 that doesn't look like a contractor truck. It hides dirt well and is MUCH easier to keep cool. Would love to have had another Victory Red one but this color makes us happy. Besides, it was this one or another black one. And we weren't in the mood to order and wait.

When we ordered ours, we chose black - black and chrome suits us. My wife said, "you know black is the new white." .... Dirt - oh, yeah... it shows dirt but we live in the country and no one has a clean ride. Our country road is paved but the fields on each side of it are not... so farmers/ranchers roll mud/dirt out on the road and passing cars pick it up. My B-I-L said I made a mistake buying black since it was too hard to keep clean. He lives in the city AND was driving a Hershey chocolate brown car at the time!

Finding a used F150 optioned the way I wanted with tow max, low mileage, took me 2 years to find. Although not fond of color (Metallic Grey) looks nice when all clean, I wasn't about to spend upwards of 50k plus ! Got a 2015 this year for 30k and change 29k miles

I couldn't find the F-150 I wanted so I spent way over $50K. Ordered it! I wanted camper mirrors, tan interior, white exterior, adaptive cruise and I wanted 17/18 because of the transmission and the fuel injection mods.

Living in the deep south, one learns that anything white stays a lot cooler than anything of another color. On the hottest day of summer with my truck parked out in the sun, I can place my hand on its surface without getting burned, try that with any other color and you will move your hand really fast. This is one of the main reasons our tow vehicle is a white truck.

Ordered my Ram3500 in Metallic Black. My wife told me that once you go black you never go back, I thought it was because it matched the new Cedar Creek custom paint. What do I know....

I like white trucks. They can be a bit dirty and still look pretty darn good. However, when I was searching for a dually, I couldn't find a white one with the package that I wanted, except for a King Ranch (which I didn't really want).
Then my daughter-in-law told me that a black truck would look better with our camper than a white one anyway. My last black truck was a '51 Chevy. So, that was that. Sure is a lot harder to keep clean looking than white though!

I dislike the color of my truck. It's brown. I don't like it. We bought the truck in March of 2016. It was a left over brand new 2015 EcoDiesel with an MSRP of $38,700. I bought it for $26,500. At that price it could have been puke green! We've be happy since, brown or not.

My wife picked the color. Our deal is I pick the make and model, she picks the color. I would prefer a blue one, but happy wife, makes a happy camper wife!
