Why Patriot badmouthed on forum

I am looking for an easy to use brake system to tow my 2013 Jeep Wrangler behind my Solera. I have looked at all the options and the Patriot seems easy enough to install and use. But it gets a bad rap on this forum. Would you suggest something better and easy to set and use on two different vehicles. Thanks in advance for any help on this. I can tow the Jeep but I can't stop it!!

I've had the patriot for over a year now and have had zero issues. It is small and easy to set up.

Just remember to charge it over the winter to keep the internal battery in good shape.
