In this farm area, you drive a Chevy if you are a farmer and work it, and a Ford if you work in town. Just an observation of a farm owner!

Ram is Fiat. They may be great, but that blows it for me. Next truck I get, in 25 years, will be a dually diesel with the highest payload I can find, whichever brand.
NOPE. Not any more. The Silverado/GMC Sierra added together trails Ford by 10,000 units a month.

ronheater70 - saw your post about Ram vs F150. Comment on front rotors caught my attention. Currently have f150 ecoboost. What problems did you have with front rotors. Thanks for any insight you can give me.

Just warped prematurely, Like I think at 16K miles and I hadn't towed anything at that point with it yet.. So for a truck able to tow about 10K pounds the fact the rotors warped without towing a pound had me concerned.. They cleaned them up and then at 27 they were warped again, I got new ones out of them that time, they were fine until i traded it at about 49K I think.

It's bad enough having people on this site putting any credibility in ads for Ford F150's being advertised at "Over one million dollars".....without continuing what amounts to an actual "conversation".

Has person who saw the ONE MILLION DOLLAR F150 never been on Kijiji???

There are scam artists on there all the time trying to sell Timex watches for 50 thousand dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

High Price Listing

The only reason those prices are listed that high is so their truck can be at the top of the list and you will see their truck

And oh, so you guys will post it in a forum 😜

Trucks have out priced my income so I buy used now. I'll keep my $16K Dodge DRW. for awhile till it dies then who know what I will buy, maybe a GM

All brands are all junk, I bought a new Ford F250 4 transmissions later (got tired of replacing them) I bought a Dodge Hemi(It was just OK), Even had a 5 speed Ranger transmission self destruct on my wife going down the highway (It only had about 100K on it)........ The 6.9 and 7.3 were good and the 4.0 engine was good but the transmissions were junk. Forgot about my other F250 it went through 3 transmissions...........

My best trucks were a 1973, 1976, 1978 Ford F150s but the 78 the 351M main bearings went at 100K though.

Smile F-150 Trucks vs the rest

Maybe that’s why Ford and GM developed jointly a new 10 speed automatic trans available in some of their trucks. The 5 liter Ford V8 with 400 hp maybe better that a Ecoboost V6 with twin turbos and that engine’s need for regular intake decarbonization due to direct fuel injection.

My husband wanted to buy one at that price and I said, "Sorry honey, I just gave all our money to that nice Nigerian prince's wife that emailed us wanting to make us rich but I guess I got it backwards." Now I'm going shoe shopping. Shhhh....

The 2018 ECO engine has a second set of injectors before the valves so that is no longer an issue.

To help mitigate the issue would be a better way to put it.

OP made a joke about an ad's misprint, not to pit brands or engines against each other.

I'm thinking there was a problem autocorrect and punctuation. Perhaps the million dollars was for a used F-15.

It’s fair warning that one only has to go to the Ford 2015+ sub-section and see problems posted every day. It’s disproportionate to the overall positive threads in the same section compared to any other truck forum’s latest generation posting area. It wouldn’t bother me in the city but pulling an RV and having something break down would ruin the vacation.

Yes, but of course that "strategy" only works if people have their preferences to show "highest prices first".

Also, even if it DOES have the "desired effect" of showing "your" item at the top of the list.........the benefit is kinda lost if "your" item is listed at 20 million dollars. Who the hell's gonna call or email to ask about a 20 million dollar pickup truck?? :-)

Somewhat over-thought.....and/or counter productive, I'd say.

They say 97% of fords are still on the road-------

the other 3% made it home.

Actually, to "solve" the issue is the best way to put it. Many manufacturers have used the same solution.

Happy F-150 owner

I have owned fords for alot of years and towed alot of things with them. Have not had a problem with any of them. I make sure oil changes are done on time and all maintenance is preformed when its supposed to be. In other words i take good care of my vehicles. As far as chevy goes i’am neither hot nor cold. But i won’t let a dodge anything on my property. Up here in Michigan every dodge you see is a rusted out piece of junk.

Just watching Truck Week show on History. Ford F series seems to be the most sold Vehicle since 1982, not just trucks cars too! That speaks to the quality and desirability of Ford.
