Just saw this, 2 million F-150 Ford pick-ups involved:

TFL posted about a month ago that this recall may be coming.
Seeing how the 2017+ Super Duty uses the same cabin as the F150 how is it not included in the recall?
Also, how can Takata survive another major manufacturing issue! (mfg of the seat belt tension-er)

Being an oversees company I don't think any money was ever gotten from them or still pending. Later RJD

There is a TSB for Ram HD trucks for the tailgate, seems it can fall open on it's own. HOWEVER, it specifically excludes the 8 ft bed, so why my truck gets excluded I am not sure, whats different about a tailgate depending on the length of the bed I do not know, but it may be similar to the ford scenario, theres just something a little different somewhere that excludes it.

Exclamation

Well ours is a Dearborn MI built '17 so I guess we will get letter on it soon.

We missed the rear seat belt one because we have a XLT and not of the ones with inflatable seat belts.

buddy of mine just purchased a 2018 Ecoboost last Friday and they will not release it off the lot until the parts are in to cover the recall. crappy.

I'm glad I traded my 2016 in for a 250.

That happened to a few people on the rear seat belt recall as well.

The hold probably came down after they did the paperwork and before the dealer knew.

If you went in to buy one today they would not even talk about the paperwork on them since they know Ford will not approve the sale.

All 3 manufactures make excellent trucks and they all do have their issues once in a while.

Because if they waited for everything wrong with a RAM, you would never get your truck.

And the issues are often due to errors on the part of their part's suppliers.
