I didn't mean to start a controversy, lol. Like asking what's better, Ford or Chevy I guess. And naturally, someone will chime in that Mercedes or Porsche are best.

I kinda had my search narrowed down to the Reese or the Equalizer already. I ended up buying the Reese Steadi-Flex, but haven't been able to install it yet. Waiting for Amazon to ship my 46mm socket to torque the ball on. It looks like I'll still be using the lowest holes on this shank due to my hitch receiver coming out through the bumper instead of underneath.

I bought the WD hitch on Amazon also, but it arrived with damage, mostly to the packaging. Some minor blemishes to the paint, notnhing serious. But I told Amazon I wanted to return it (via Prime) and they offered to give me a $200 credit instead, which I snapped at. So, I wasn't looking to save a buck when picking this hitch (although I couldn't afford the Mercedes of hitches), but ended up with a pretty good deal. Now lets just hope it works!

As far as the bent pin, I'm still not sure my last WD hitch was the setup 100% correctly, so that very well could have been the problem.

Thanks all! I'll check back and let you know how it works out.

Anytime you ask for an opinion on this forum, or any other for that matter, you're going to start a controversy. LOL! That's the nature of the beast. You don't need the "Mercedes of Hitches". With a $200 credit, you got a good deal. With a proper setup that Reese will do the job. Satisfy yourself, cause that's all that matters. Best of luck to you!
