Any recommendations for WI Dells?

The wife and I are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary this month, but we are going on a camping trip in June minus the Kiddos as our gift to each other.
We are looking for a recommendation for a nice campground in the Dells that has a package that includes activities such as water parks or some kind of water sports. GOOGLE can only tell us so much, and I am much more inclined to take recommendations from you folks on the FRF.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

SPPD

We stayed at merry mac camp ground last year there about a half hour or less out of the dells.
Kids had a great time.
Check them out.
Adults had fun to btw.

Thanks Turbs!
We looked at the website and it has made the list for sure. The prices look good, but the only draw back is the distance from the Dells. Mapquest shows a 35 minute drive to the Dells where we will be spending most of the daytime hours. It may be worth it because the CG does look really nice.

I've heard the Yogi Bear campground there is awesome (Yogi Bear). Depending on how far you want to drive, also heard that Devils Lake (Devil's Lake State Park Travel Guide - Baraboo, Wisconsin) is great as well (about 20+ minutes away outside of Baraboo.) We were just there in January at the Wilderness Hotel (Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort Read Reviews, Get Pricing & Book Online | Wisconsin Dells). That places is awesome and the kids loved it.

We drove it 3 days back and forth and it really didn't seem very long at all.

Good luck in your search!

Devil's lake state park is a great place to camp. I used to go there a lot when I lived in Wisconsin. You usually have to book fairly early to get in there.

Couple of links for ya,

Official Site For Wisconsin Dells Tourism Info & More | Wisconsin Dells

Wisconsin Association of Campgrounds Owners | WACO

Whenever we went to the Dells we always stayed at Mirror Lake State Park. Mirror Lake State Park - Wisconsin DNR
Close to the action and attractions but removed enough to get away from the noise and crowds. Being a state park there are no packages available though.

There is a 21 and over campground close to the area. They have a shuttle to the casino. Not sure about water park pkg though, but most all campgrounds have a deal with some water park. I like the idea.

Where at in the "chicago burbs"?

We stayed at Merry Macs a couple of years ago. No full hookups but nice place. Very close to Devils Lake where we spent most of our time hiking. Spent one day at the dells and it wasn't a bad drive at all.

We finally decided on our destination for this trip and ended up booking at Holiday Shores. It is a little more per night because it is Fathers Day Weekend, but they offer free Chula Vista Water Park passes for each day that we stay. Thanks everyone that made suggestions. We are going to stay at Merry Macs later this summer or next year because it really does look nice.

Congrats on your decision. With so many places to camp around the Dells it's hard to choose a place. Hope you have a good time celebrating your 10th anniversary!
