Some of the bases are experiencing a surge of shopping at the commissaries I'm retired and don't use them however my son said at Ft Rucker the commissary was cleaned out by mainly retirees stocking up on things he did not say if they had closed the base yet.

Lackland AFB has cancelled families attending graduation ceremonies. As a parent of a now medically discharged airman that would be sad but I understand.

Closed to all but military, DoD civilians, contractors and retirees with official business. Official business does not include shopping of any kind.
All famcamps are closed in the whole USA. Most bases are now restricted to personal only. All DOD offices have cancelled all appointments. I know this because I had a call from them telling me this. The new regs went to effect on March 24. No new reservations or appointments until further notice. I’m not sure if you can still use the PX or not, but if it is on base I would think not. Stay safe everyone.
