I agree. Never heard of anyone taking stuff from our campground but then again I don't need to be the first victim either. I lock everything up including golf cart and wife double checks all doors/exterior cabinets before we leave. Just when you let your guard down someone will come along and take advantage of you. Sorry to hear about your theft.

Hatches are easy to pop open without a key so do not think changing locks will slow any one down. You can pop one open just as fast & quiet without a key. Also most golf carts of each brand (Club Car / EZ Go) use the same key unless the switch has been changed.

As the saying goes locks are for honest people. Years ago I knew a guy at work that cold get into a #3 Master Lock faster without a key than I could with a key. People with convertibles did not lock their doors. If someone wanted in, leaving the door unlocked was much cheaper than having to replace the top too.

As far as campgrounds never had a theft & rarely lock our doors...........

Not saying that stealing is right by any means but if the OP would have just tossed the cord and EMS in the rig before leaving this would have never happened. it is like leaving 300 dollars on the picnic table and leaving.......

Depends on thickness of door/hatch. Look up the web site ......it'll have what you need to do to get the proper locks.

My brother in law left his cooler full of beer and pop by his 5er door. It was stolen sometime during the night, at Sandbanks, while they were asleep. I figure if it isn't locked down or hidden, it'll get stolen. Lesson learned the hard way Westielover
