We stayed at Buckhorn Resort near Kerrville a coupe of times. 25 miles from Fredericksburg. Really nice resort, well manicured and peaceful. A nice drive to Fredricksburg. Also, the Nimitz Museum is in Fredricksburg...on of the best WW2 museums i’ve Seen

Look up Texas Wine Country Jellystone just east of Fredericksburg on US 290. I’ve never stayed there - I’m too cheap. Anywhere around Fredericksburg is near several wineries since many new wineries have been established in that area in the past 7-8 years. You can find several wine tours. We’ve stayed at Peach Country in Stonewall but it’s not a resort.

Fredericksburg rv park(FRVP). The only one in town and not bad. There is a KOA about 5 miles east of town but we prefer the FRVP. The closest thing to an RV Resort in the area would be the one previously mentioned in kerrville.

We have stayed at Oakwood RV park many times. It's clean, has good spaces. Near downtown and not far from wineries.

Fredericksburg
Jellystone Park is very nice a little pricey $$ but close to Fat Ass Winery
and town...it's a tourist based economy so everything is a bit pricey...
KOA is just down the HWY towards town.....very swank winery across street..
I lived in Fredericksburg for a while....:crying

Campgrounds for Fredricksburg Texas
We usually camp at the KOA that is southeast of town and very convenient to the vineyards and wineries that direction. But the other suggestions already made here are good. We have also stayed at the Lady Bird Johnson park. It is a city park and is very nice. There is a local airport right beside it and if noise bothers you you should consider that. Small airport -- depends on the day how many flights actually go in and out.
The Buckhorn at Kerrville is right on I-10 and is very nice. Kerrville is an interesting town with good Guadelupe River access. Less than 20 miles from Kerrville to Fredricksburg.
We live in the Houston area, but we go to the Fredricksburg area quite often. PM me if you have questions or just need more information. So much to do in that area.

Lady Bird park has the largest sites of any Friedricksburg area campground. Fredericksburg RV park has become a place for permanent residents and sites are close although, when we visit Fredricksburg it has always been clean.

We go to Fredericksburg 3-4 times a year. We always stay at the KOA. It is about 5 miles east of town, but it's right on 290 where all the wineries are. Short drive into town, far enough out that it's very quiet. They also raise chickens around the owner's house and sell the farm eggs in the store. They are delicious. I always bring home 3-4 dozen. For a first timer here's some suggestions.
1. Grape Creek Winery - very nice, but nicest areas are for their club members only.
2. Becker Vineyards, probably the prettiest of the wineries.
3. Depending on how much wine you consume, look at the 290 wine shuttle. This fleet of shuttles stop at a bunch of wineries up and down 290. They run every 15 minutes, get on and off whenever you want. They actually stop right at the KOA so they will drop you off at the front gate at the end of the day.
4. Nimitz museum is neat. Plan on at least 2 hours for this, but it's easy to spend all day there.
5. Altdorf restaurant and Auslander restaurant are both really good German food.
6. There is live music many nights in Luckenbach. Yes, the same Luckenbach Tx as the Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson song. It's definitely worth the short drive.
We have stayed at Peach Country RV park in Stonewall once or twice, when the KOA was full. It is very nice and cheaper than the KOA, but a little too far from Fredericksburg for us.

Fredericksburg wineries
Fredericksburg wineriesAll of the above mentioned are good sites and strong possibility. If you end up staying in Kerrville don’t forget the Schreiner Park right on the river in case you want to take a day off from cruising wineries and Kerrville is only 25 miles or so from Fredericksburg. Trees, full 30 and 50 amp hook ups, and water/sewer, fishing, hiking, swimming in the river.
If You really want an inexpensive place the Youth agricultural center which looks like a county fairgrounds on highway 27, South of town. Large spaces with water and electricity , but no dump station. Nearest free dump is the rest stop on I-10, ten miles east.

We also stayed at Fredericksburg RV Park in 12/2014 and liked it. There were enough campers there who played cards/games in the evenings and we could walk to the downtown area (if you are active.)

Sounds like a great business plan. We live in Boerne, nothing too exciting as far as RV parks in our area.
