Heading West I-40

We're heading to Colorado along I 40. Any recommendations for an overnight campground around Amarillo or west Amarillo? I've been looking at God Sam and KOA. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Than You

For large paved pull throughs Oasis RV park west of Amarillo is good. We use it when traveling between Oklahoma and Arizona. Good for overnight stay.

X2, we stopped there for 2 nights a few months ago. it is easy to get in and out of and works well for an overnight stay. Also if you have time, check out Spicy Mike's BBQ in Amarillo, it was delicious!

We're going to try the oasis place outside of Amarillo. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you

We are in Amarillo several times a year and always stay at Oasis and will highly recommend it.

Be careful when getting off 40 there is a Love's Travel Stop and the cross traffic is pretty decent.

If you unhook there is a Sam's Club at I-40 and Coulter that usually has the best diesel price in town.

We stayed at the Amarillo KOA a few years back and it was decent. We were there a couple of days and made side trips to Canyon, TX (great museum) and the Palo Duro Canyon State Park.

Just curious, why would you head down to I-40 out of Tulsa to go up to Colorado?

That makes sense, I was thinking more like Denver.

Don't know if you have ever looked at RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks but it's a great place to find parks along the way.
